The most important difference to many charities is that the Everest Rescue Trust intends to set up something that is sustainable. We are not simply going to give away money, we intend to change the livelihood of a people untouched by the trappings of modern Western civilisation. The revenue from the rescue service will sustain the operating cost of the project, but the more support we get, the more we can do for the people of Nepal.

So, how can you get involved? There are numerous ways we’ve thought of but if you think we’ve missed anything, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Tell Someone:

• The first step of any humanitarian effort is to bring the issue to the attention of those who can help. If the situation touches you in any way, it is important that you tell someone about it, start with your friends and family, then your social groups or clubs, then your colleagues at work and finally the strangers you come across.

Tell Us:

• If you have any ideas of how we can further help the Nepalese, please don’t hesitate to get in touch here, after all, there’s no such thing as a bad idea. We can’t promise that we’ll use your idea but if we do, you’ll get credit.

Donate Now:

• Your donation will show your support for this worthy cause, and will also help the Trust to provide facilities that will hugely benefit the Nepalese people. Learn more here.

Become a Stakeholder:

• This is done by actively demonstrating your support in either helping us to spread the word by opening up your database and contacts to us, by making a sizable donation, or helping us in some other way. This will result in you and your company benefiting from the international exposure that the project receives. Getting your logo displayed prominently on our website, benefiting from the media drive and being a part of what we are going to achieve in the long run.

Become a Corporate Supporter:

• In order to get this project off to a flying start, we’d love to have major donations from some corporate partners. As with all humanitarian efforts, the Trust always has more that it could reasonably achieve but lacks the funds to do so. Find out how your company can help here.

Volunteer:

• The Trust is aiming to staff the Sagarmatha Medical Centre with a rotation of world-class prosthetics and orthopaedic specialists, as well as orthopaedic nurses and qualified support staff, so if you would like to donate just ten days to helping the Nepalese frostbite victims, please visit the Volunteer page to learn more.
