Endorsements

This page showcases some of the quotes and endorsements we've received already from various people, institutions and companies. The Trust is very proud of what it's trying to accomplish in Nepal so having this recognised is extremely important to us.

Endorsements, Comments and Quotes

CAANZ
Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, John Jones, sent us this letter, showing his (and CAANZ's) support for the project:

UVS International
Peter van Blyenburgh, President of UVS International, sent us this quote for the endorsements section. We'd like to thank him and UVS International for the continued support.

"The Everest Challenge is ambitious, daring, technically challenging, of societal benefit, has a humanitarian side, shows proof of out-of-the-box creativity and stands to get the general public interested in UAS. This endeavour will bring a new dimension to the utility potential of unmanned aircraft systems. UVS International is proud to be associated with the Everest Challenge."

Point View School
Point View School in Auckland were the official testers for our Kids Adventure interactive programme. The kids have completely embraced what the Trust is trying to achieve and the programme is now being used throughout the school. Christine Munro, the Librarian at Point View had this to say about the Kids Adventure programme:

"Rescue on Everest’s Kids Adventure is proving a great success at Point View School. This integrated unit covers Science, Technology, Social Sciences, English and Mathematics. As well as factual information there are Adventure Challenges where the children can select an activity and take a more in-depth look at a topic. In these Adventure Challenges there is something interesting for every child because they cater for a range of learning styles.

The Maths challenges are real-life problems and cater for a range of levels.
The points system motivates the children and they want to achieve the highest score possible.

The Skyhook game is proving a hit with many as they strive to move through the levels. It’s hard work though!

Because children can access the site at home, they are talking with their parents about what they are doing at school. In this way we have been able to get parents with knowledge in the areas covered to come into school, talk to the children and show them pictures and artifacts."

As more comments come in, we'll post them here.
